Common questions before you hire a painter

How long does an interior painting job usually take?

On average, a single room takes 2 to 4 days from setup to walk-through, and a whole-house interior repaint 1 to 2 weeks, depending on size. Cabinet painting adds another week because of the multiple coats and cure time. During the estimate we give you a specific timeline for your project.

Do you provide free estimates?

Yes. Every estimate is free and includes a written proposal with materials, prep steps, coat count, and timeline. No obligation. We'll contact you within one business day to schedule your estimate visit.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes. California CSLB License #603312 for General Building and Painting/Decorating. Fully insured with general liability and workers compensation coverage. Verify our license at cslb.ca.gov.

What paint brand do you use?

Benjamin Moore is our primary brand for interior and exterior work because of its color range, coverage, and longevity in Bay Area conditions. For specific projects like cabinets we use Benjamin Moore Advance for its durability. We can accommodate other brand preferences when requested.

Will my price change once work starts?

Not for the work in your proposal. Some problems only show up once prep begins: dry rot in exterior trim or siding, water-damaged drywall, or old paint that has to come off entirely before new paint will hold. When we find something like that, we show you and quote the repair. You decide whether to add it. The price for the painting you approved stays the same.
